Christmas Craziness

I hope all of you are getting ready for Christmas and everything is going well for you. I love this time of year and I think its going to be a really great Christmas! I just can't seem to get anything done. A few days ago I had the thought "Oh I am not really even busy and I have plenty of time to get everything done", and now the thought I have just a few days later "AHHH there is no way I am going to get everyting done." Has anyone else had this thought? I know everything will turn out but it just amazes me how in just a matter of days it can change so fast. I still have all my Christmas shopping for Reg to do. I also for some reason decided to be really crafty and make all of these homemade gifts... don't know what I was thinking.Ü Oh and we are moving into our townhouse on the 19th, right before Christmas! AHH so exciting! Crazy times call for crazy measures.
However despite all of the craziness I still can't help loving this time of year. On Sunday our church meetings were extremely good and also listening to the Christmas devotional from the First Presidency has really made me think about the true meaning of Christmas. I know we hear about this alot but it has really hit me this year. I feel so blessed and really am so happy with what we have been given that I really don't want anything for Christmas. Times are tough and I think that for alot of people Christmas will be different this year. I think last night during the devotional President Uchdorf said that this economic problem may be a blessing in disguise. I would like to think of it that way during this time instead of worrying and focusing on the negative. Maybe we can get back to way Christmas was meant to be. Christ truly is the reason.

Husband Tag from Jamie

1. Where did you meet? We met in high school our sophmore year.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met? I thought he was so cute! I've had a crush ever since.Ü

3. Do you rememeber what he was wearing? Blue longed sleeved polo with white strips, khaki shorts, and tevas.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person? On my front porch after Winter Ball our Junior year.

5. Where did you go for your first date? I called and asked him to go a BYU game with me. I was so nervous to call and ask him because we really didn't know each other. But yes I was the one who asked him out and I am so glad I did cause look where it lead.Ü

6. How long did you know this person before you became a couple? Not very long. We were pretty much a couple after our first date.Ü

7. How did he ask you out? Well he did ask me to homecoming before I asked him to the BYU game but I had to tell him no because I had already been asked. I was crushed. How he asked was he left a puzzle on the my front porch that I had to put together. There was one piece missing in the puzzle and the next day I got it and it had his name on it. I was so bummed to have to tell him no.

8. Has this person ever proposed to you? Yes he has, thank heavens. Almost 3 years ago.Ü

9. Do you and this person have kids together? Nope.

10. Have you ever broken the law with this person? I haven't but Regan has broken the law enough for both of us. Ha ha. Ü

11. When was the first time you realized you liked this person? I've known I liked him from the very beginning.

12. Do you get along with their family? Yes, they are great and like a second family to me.

13. Do you trust this person? With everything!

14. Do you see him as your partner in the future? Yes.

15. What is the best gift he gave you? Reg is really good at surprises and I always like anything he gets me.

16. What is one thing he does that gets on your nerves? When he answers my questions with just one word anwers.Ü
17. Where do you see each other 15 years from now? Who knows. I just see us happy but I don't know what our lives will be like. We like to fly by the seat of our pants. Ü

18. What causes the most arguments? Where to go out to eat.Ü Most of time though its just me being a brat.

19. How long have you been together? We've been married for 2 1/2 years but we've known each other for almost 10 years.

20. Are you married? Ofcourse.

I'm Back...

I am back for those of you who are still reading my blog, for those of you who aren't reading my blog anymore I don't blame you. I am ashamed of myself. I really had good intentions to keep my blog updated but then I just kept putting it off and it just got worse and worse and then I didn't even know where to start. But now I am back and it feels so good.Ü
We have been living with Reg's parents for the past 2 months and we are going to be moving into our new townhouse in less than 2 weeks! I can't even believe it. We are so excited! We went to see the place yesterday and I didn't want to leave even though it was freezing. I will post some pictures soon. It is going to be the best Christmas present!Ü
Mostly we have just been hanging out and enjoying a little break from school and work. I have been looking for a teaching job but haven't had much luck. Health teachers just aren't in high demand especially half way through the year but that's okay I know that I can get a job next year or who knows what will happen. So since I haven't had much luck in the education department I am now working at Sprint. I feel blessed to be able to have job and am thankful for the way things worked out. Reg will be starting school in January and I think he is ready to get back. So that's where we are at right now and it couldn't be better.Ü

Home Sweet Home

Yes it's true folks. We are back in Utah and here to stay...well at least for a few months :) We made a last minute decision on Wednesday morning and decided to leave on Thursday morning. So we drove all day yesterday. It's a 13 hour drive but it went by pretty fast and bless Regan's heart he drove all the way. It was so nice to see our family yesterday night and we excited to see everyone as soon as we can. So I promise there will be some updates soon and some pictures as soon as I can find my camera cord buried in all of stuff!

To have or not to have?

So because Regan and I have moved so much and traveled alot it has really made us realize what we can live without. When we move for the summers we only take what can fit our car. Each year we try to take less than the year before because it is such a hassle. We still have a whole closet at home full of wedding presents that we have never used and we have been married over 2 years! When we get our new place its going to be like Christmas just being able to use those gifts. Lets just say that I am now an expert packer. This summer I was so proud of our packing! So here is the list of some of the things I have lived without this summer (and fall):
  • A good mattress!
  • Our own furniture
  • Decorations for our place (frames, pictures, etc)
  • Most of my kitchen supplies- cookie pan, kitchen aid, rice cooker, etc. (cooking with one pan and one pot can be quite the experience)
  • 1/2 of my clothes ( I am really missing my fall clothing right now)

Although we don't have alot out here with us, it really has taught us what is important in life and that it is not all about the things you own. I am grateful for the experiences that we have had together. Sometimes we laugh to think about where we live right now but we know it is only going to make our first home that much more wonderful. Here are some things that we did have this summer:

  • Each other!!!
  • New friends to keep us sane
  • A car that runs smoothly
  • Successful jobs
  • Seeing new places
  • Being a part of great wards
  • Creating fun memories that we will remember forever!

We are excited to come back to Utah and see our family and friends! It is going to be a big change for us but change is good.

So it Turns Out...

That I never update my blog. I really didn't realize this until I looked at the dates on my posts! And I hate it when people never update their blogs... but now I can't can I? Unless... I start posting more. So I am saying to you now that I am going to start doing better at posting on my blog cause I know that it is a good thing, like writing in my journal or scrapbooking. I am recommitting to my blog. It is not even News Years and I feel like I am making a new resolution. But here goes, I am going to give it try.

We Moved Again!

Yes its true we moved again! We are now in Omaha Nebraska, so we are making our way closer to Utah. The opportunity came up to move to Omaha and we were pretty much done in Iowa so we thought why not. It was an easy move and everything is pretty much the same except we are in Nebraska. I haven't had alot of time to explore but it seems nice enough, not really a pretty city though. Regan is doing well selling here so we are happy about that. It is official though that we will be home to Utah by October 14! So only a few more weeks. It is crazy to think that we have lived in Idaho, Utah, Minnesota, Iowa and now Nebraska all within the last year! Ha ha! We love it and it is great to see so much while we can.

Our Future Home!

This is our future townhouse! It is just the foundation but we are hoping it will be done in time for Christmas! That is the plan. You can see in this picture that that is the Okura Temple right across the street! How cool is that.
Another picture of our foundation! We CANNOT wait to be in our new home.

Welcome!

So on Sunday Regan and I and all of the other married couples from Pinnacle went to our new ward on Sunday. It was a really big ward. We went through all 3 meetings with not one person saying a single word to us or not getting a single smile. I tried smiling at people but normally when you are new someone says something to you to welcome you. When we got home I just thought that maybe it was cause the ward was really big. But then on Monday for Labor Day the ward was having a Breakfast and we decided to go along with some other couples. We were pretty excited but felt a little awkard going since we didn't know anyone. Again, not one word or smile in our direction! It was so uncomfortable being there. We got the weird stares like "who are you" but no one bothered to say hi. It was really sad and we felt really bad. We've always had good experiences going to new wards and meeting new people. We have always said that out of state wards are so welcoming. So I am just saying to all you to make sure that you welcome new people in your ward or say hello to them or even just smile at them. It really helps and makes them feel better. I haven't given up hope yet on this ward and I will put forth more of an effort on Sunday. I don't mean to sound upset, I just wanted to say be welcoming!Ü

Goodbye Minnesota...Hello Iowa!

We made it! Yesterday we made the 3 1/2 hour drive to West Des Moines, Iowa and said goodbye to Minnesota. It was a nice drive and we made it safely. This is definitely going to be a new experience for us. We are going to be staying in an Extended Stay, it is like a hotel but with a little kitchen. It really isn't bad and I got creative with finding places to put all of our stuff. The only thing that isn't so great about them are the people who stay in them...interesting, very interesting. But I am glad that I have my friends out here! Today we went exploring and it really is a nice area. Regan had a really big day-3 sales!! So we are off to a good start in Iowa. I will post some pictures of our place once I get everything put away.

My Green Thumb

Well at the beginning of the summer Regan and I planted 3 tomato plants and  1 red pepper plant. We wanted to try and be thrifty and to grow something on our own. It has been so fun to watch our plants grow. The first time that I saw a little green tomato I screamed because I was so excited! For the last couple weeks we have enjoyed our little tomatoes...they really aren't that big but they are so so good! We are just waiting for our peppers to turn red and they are almost there. So I had to show of our plants because I am quite proud of them.

Just An Update

So I know that it has been forever since I have posted anything! Really I haven't had anything to post...we do the same thing everday. We wake up and go to gym, come home and get ready for the day, go to our 12:00 work meeting, then Regan leaves for work and I start on paperwork, then when I finish I hang out with the girls and maybe clean the apartment, then I cook dinner and Regan comes home and we eat, then we watch some Andy Griffith and I fall asleep on the couch until Regan wakes me up to go to bed and then we do it all over again the next day. Now don't get me wrong I'm not complaining at all, we have had a really great summer and have had alot of fun and met some really great friends but this an average day for us and so not a lot happens. So I am just going to post something even though it is hard for me not to post something with a picture or about an event. I just wanted to give an update on things for us in Minnesota. We are doing really well! This is our last week in Minnesota...sad but happy at the same time. But we aren't done selling yet. We are on our way to Des Moines, Iowa for another month and a half. I know I know we are crazy but we both felt that continuing the selling thing was right and worth it. I am going to keep doing the office work and Reg will keep doing his thing. He has done really well this summer and works so hard! We are really excited to eventually move back to Utah because we are trying to buy a townhouse! So exciting! It will be done being built in December so that is one reason why we are staying in Iowa until October. Having our own place is all that I can think about! Minnesota has been good to us and we've had some good times here...who know we might be back next summer...ha ha! But now we are on to next adventure. Stay tuned.

More Wedding Pics!!!

Poor Daddy...he's so tired.

GQ brother
Amanda and Travis are officially married!! They have waited four years and the day finally came! They make the best couple and we are so happy to have Travis in our family! They are truly in love and the wedding was perfect. Regan and I flew home for the week to be there and it was so fun to be with the family and be there for that special occasion. Everything went pretty well...except for the eclair fiasco, Amanda and Travis getting in a wreck on the way to the temple ceremony and a few other minor glitches.:) I was so happy to be there and I think I have the best sisters and brother ever! This last picture is a funny story so I will tell it... Jamie told Travis to do this and he was totally up for it. We bought him some really, really big ugly underwear and when he went to take off Amanda's garter he pulled out the underwear instead and held them up. Amanda about died, her face was priceless! It was hirlarious! Oh how we love to pull pranks on each other. Anyways I am super happy for them and I love them to pieces!

Amanda and Travis's Wedding!!

The Boys...Zach, Jared, and Regan.
My cute Mom and Dad
The Bride and Groom coming out of the Temple!
These are the cutest little girls ever! They are my cousins daughters and they were so excited when Amanda came out of the temple and they had to be the ones to carry her dress.
My sissy, Jamie and her husband Zachary. Oh how we miss them!

Twins Baseball Game with the Office

As an incentive for the office we all got to go to a Twins game. It was alot of fun and it was nice to have Regan come home early for once. These are some of the Salesmen and their wives. They have become my really great friends! It is great to have friends out here, it really helps the time pass by when Regan is out working. I love going to the Twins games. This one was a little different because we went with the whole office and some of the salesmen like to drink and some of them go pretty drunk so that was interesting. I am sure we will go to another one this summer.

Our 2 Year Anniversary

This last week on the 19th it was our two year anniversary! I can't believe we've been married 2 years. We have had the best two years! We have had so much fun together and have been very blessed these last couple of years. I just want to say how much I love him. Everyday I am in awe because he is the most wonderful person I know and I am so lucky to be married to him. I am so grateful for his hard working attitude and his fun loving sense of humor. He always knows how to make me smile and is so good to me. He is a great example to me and a wonderful husband! I look forward to our other many anniversaries!

To celebrate our anniversary Regan took me to a nice hotel with a suite for the weekend. It was so nice to get away for a little while. We both had to work on Monday so we celebrated during the weekend. We went to dinner and shopped at Mall of America and relaxed. We had just a good time and it was great of Reg to put it all together.

We love our Nieces and Nephews!

Here is a few pics of our cute nieces and nephews. We love them so much and miss them while we are in Minnesota! These pictures were taken at Reg's birthday party-they were all running around, playing in the dirt, and playing with our baseball and football gear:)

Reg's Birthday Party

Reg's birthday cake! He loves cake and the frosting had to be buttercream frosting! Do you love the rainbow on it? It cracks me up. He wanted a piece with the most frosting on it:)

We had a big birthday party for Regan on May 4th. It was also kind of a going away party for Reg and I. All the family came over to my parents house and we had a dutch oven dinner. Yum! It was so much fun to have everyone together! We had a big softball game and all the kids were so cute running around. I think that this is all Regan could ask for for his birthday!

Reg's Birthday

The Big 24! Reg got some nice new shoes for summer and a book that I made him. We went out to dinner at Mimi's and he also had a big family birthday party!

We Moved!

Regan and I are now living in Eagan, Minnesota for the summer. This is our third summer living in Minnesota and we really like it here. It is a really beautiful place and it is fun to live in a new place. Regan is selling alarm systems for Pinnacle security so if anyone needs an alarm system you know who to call.Ü Reg really has a knack for selling and does really well at it. I am proud of all his hard work because I know what a hard job it is and I could NEVER do it. This summer while Reg is working all day and I am working all day too. I am working as the office manager for Pinnacle and it is alot of work but I like it. We miss all of you guys back in Utah!Ü

In the Process...

So I am in the process of figuring this whole blog thing out...so I am going to keep working at it and hopefully get a really cute blog going. I told myself I can only work on it 15 minutes a day because if I didn't put a time limit for myself then I would get nothing done! So stay tuned...
