Halloween Day

Seriously, this little boy hates taking pictures. He will not smile or look at the camera. Oh well at least these pictures show how he really feels about taking pictures. He is all boy and just wants to go go go. He makes the cutest Davy "Grady" Crocket.
Halloween was so fun for us. Being parents is so fun (most of the time:)) and rewarding. Grady wasn't really all that in to trick or treating, he doesn't really eat candy so he didn't really care about the candy but he loved knocking on the door and trying to go into people's houses. We only did a couple of houses and they were mostly family. He was way more excited about seeing dogs and wanting to follow them. We made sure we saw the cousins and their costumes and we went trick or treating down Winder Lane. Later that night we went to my parents and had pizza and just hung out. It was a pretty chill Halloween but we wouldn't have it any other way.

YeeHaw!

A couple weeks ago my Mom and I took Grady to this little pumpkin farm. It was this little po dunk farm. We laughed so hard when we pulled up to it because there were only like 4 cars and it was kind of sad looking. We said oh well and knew Grady would love it. Seriously, it was so much fun! This is going down as one of my favorite memories. The nice thing about this farm is that there were no rules! You could basically do whatever you wanted and as much as you wanted. We laughed the whole night and Grady loved every minute it.

Riding the "train" ride. This is how he started but by the time the train got back he was slumped all the way down in his seat.
The Slide-this was a massive slide that I took Grady down a couple time and then Grandma tried it with Grady and just about killed 3 kids. Let's just say that after that we were ready to go home.
There was a huge sandbox filled with corn kernals. It was the coolest thing. Grady loved playing in it and laying in it:)
This was the highlight of the night for Grady! He had a smile on his face the whole time except of course when I took a picture.
Running around with all the farm animals. Kind of gross for me but Grady loved it.
Thanks Grandma for always being up for an adventure!

I love FALL

I love this pumpkin patch!! It is just up the street from our house and it is the cutest little pumpkin patch. The pumpkins are cheap and everything is free- the hayride, the corn maze, etc. We want last year and couldn't wait to go again. Grady LOVES pumpkins. He even made up his own sign language for pumpkin, funny kid. This year we went with Ned, Cristinne and the boys, Cohen and Dallin. We had a great time and it was fun to see how much Grady has grown and changed in a year. After we went back to our house and had hot chocolate. Fall is here and I love it. Kids make everything more fun:)

Nordgren Halloween Party

Yesterday was our annual Nordgren Halloween Party. We always look forward to this and it is fun that Grady is getting older and able to participate in all the festivities. He thinks he is so big just like all his cousins. He doesn't even seem to notice his size:) We played games outside since it was the last day of warm weather, ate some yummy dinner and cookies and visited. The funniest thing was when we were eating dinner Grady was inside with the rest of the adults eating in his highchair. The rest of the kids went outside to eat at the picnic table. Grady could see them through the window and freaked out! He HAD to be out there with them. So Reg moved his highchair out to the picnic table and he ate out with the big kids. It was so cute to see him out there, not even caring that we weren't out there with him.

Grady is our little Davy Crocket for Halloween this year. It is so cute! When he was a baby we went to Disney Land and one of his souvenirs was a Davy Crocket hat so we knew we wanted him to be that. The costume was super easy to make and really cheap! Those are the best kind!

General Conference

I am slow...I know conference was awhile ago. But it was great! I really feel like I heard some talks that I really needed to hear. I know everyone says that but it hasn't happened for awhile for me. I am very grateful because even now, 2 weeks later I am still thinking about what I heard and usually I have forgotten by the next day. I am glad I got something out of conference too because Grady made it a little difficult to listen/watch. He had just about had it with conference by the 2nd session on Sunday. This was him at the first session on Saturday all ready to go.

(the coffee table is Grady's favorite spot to sit)

Conference always makes me feel like fall is here! I am ready for this season.

Muscle Man

I love, love, love this picture! This is Grady with all his boy cousins, minus 2. These boys love showing off their muscles. Grady absolutely adores his cousins and they are SO good with him. Little Studs.

Little Sicky

A few weeks ago Grady got really sick. It was miserable. He wouldn't eat or drink anything for 2 days. I had never seen him so sick. On the 2nd evening that he was sick he started to perk up and wanted to eat. He was so happy to be eating food. He was so hungry! He about 4 slices of watermelon and was cracking us up. It was one of the best things I have seen, it warmed my heart right up to see him feeling better and eating.

Recent Happenings

Wow, a lot has been going on around here. We sure have been busy. Regan is busy with work and his LAST semester of school! Whoo hoo! I am so excited for him. I can't believe we will both have graduated. It has been a long road. I am busy teaching dance 2 nights a week and taking care of Grady man. Grady is a cute and busy as ever! There is so much about him that I just love. I really love being his mom. Here are few tidbits about him:
-He LOVES to play outside, be outside, run outside, etc. I don't know how it will be during the winter months but I guess we'll just be playing in the snow.
-He absolutely loves his Grandma's and Grandpa's. He gets so excited when we go to their house and he thinks he is the boss when he is there.
-He love all of cousins and my parents dogs. They are his buddies.
-His favorite foods are, anything pasta, eggs, crackers and fruit.
-His favorite book is "Nightime Sounds", a pop up book that makes animal noises.
-He loves cuddling his stuffed animals and blanket.
-His favorite toys are his Buzz and Woody, cars, balls and little people animals.
-He is climbing on everything now and thinks he is so big.
-He says Mom, Grandma, Grandpa, ball, car, truck, home, yes, this, and he knows a ton of sign language, too much to write.
-He loves his baths, loves to dance, watch Baby Signing Time and Super Reader and help mom with the laundry.
-He is one of the most loving and sweet little boys I have ever known. He has a real talent for making people feel loved.
(notice all the side walk chalk drawings. This is one of Grady's MOST favorite things to do. We have to hide the chalk.)
(Love this face)
(Our DVD player broke so Grady was so excited to watch Baby Signing Time on our portable DVD player.)
(Coloring with markers)
Yes we are having a little baby GIRL! She is due February 22nd. We are so excited and I know Grady is going to be the best big brother. I am doing great just getting huge. :)

Little Boys

Regan took Grady for a boys night out when I went to the Relief Society Broadcast. Regan has a bunch of guy cousins his age and they all have little boys so it was an ALL boys night out. They had so much fun playing together and eating their mac and cheese. I am so glad Grady has so many cousins to play with!

(notice what a good Dad Reg is-he tied a towel around Grady for a bib. I was so proud.)

Liberty Park

A couple days ago Grady and I went to Liberty park with my Mom, Aunt Jill, Emily and Harrison. What a fun day! There is so much to do there. We went to the Tracy Aviary and the bird show, fed the ducks, ate lunch by the lake, rode the merry go round, and played in the water fountains. I think I was more tired than Grady when the day was done. Too bad I was feeling really crummy. Luckily I had lots of helpers and Grady had such a fun time. It makes me sad that this is our first post of summer because we have had such a fun summer! We have almost hit everything on our summer to do list.

We played in the water fountains. Grady loves anything to do with water.
We went to the Tracy Aviary and Grady got to hold a ladybug! He loves animals and bugs. Nothing seems to scare him.
Cousin Harrison and Emily. Thank heavens for these two. They take such good care of Grady.
Oh and did I mention he is FAST!

Goodbye Elder Dangerfield!

My brother Jared left on his mission last Wednesday! I can't believe it. I am so proud of him and the man he has become. He is in the South Africa MTC for 3 weeks and then he is going to Uganda. Grady sure is going to miss his Uncle Jerry! I am sure the next two year will fly by.

(This picture was taken the night that Jared was set apart. THe night before he left.)

Funny Happenings

These are just some of the funny things that Grady has been doing. I just wanted to document them. I can't keep up with all the funny/cute things that he does. Life is constantly changing.
Grady loves my parents house! He walks up and down the hallway. He has to go into the bathroom and grab "his" rubber duckies. It is so funny that he knows right where they are at.

I don't know why but this made me laugh so hard. I think it is one of those things that only I think is funny. I gave Grady a piece of bread to eat because he needed a quick snack. He walked all over the house taking bites out of it. He thought he was so cool.
He is just like his Dad. Regan loves to eat just a plan piece of bread. To me that just does not sound good!
I put on a Baby Einstein (Old MacDonald is his favorite) for Grady and just got done changing his diaper. He seriously did not move from this position for like 10 minutes! Which is pretty funny because he really isn't that into TV so I couldn't believe he was so into it.
